Sasha and Trent had a serious love for chocolate spread and a serious problem with the options available in the market. Most chocolate hazelnut spreads were either too sugary, too fake or just too unethically sourced. So they decided to develop their own and Barefoot & Chocolate was born.
They came to us with two great product flavors and a cute logo designed by a local student. We had the challenge of developing a label that would look as good as the product tasted. (No small task considering the taste of this stuff!) We started by polishing up the logo to fit the constraints of label printing, then designed the label to match their wholesome and playful brand persona while also meeting national labeling requirements. The label was completed just in time for review by Whole Foods regional buyers and the results speak for themselves – it was immediately picked up by all Whole Foods stores in the northeast region and can be found throughout the United States today.
Accepted into the entire northeast Whole Foods region before selling their first jar, and then quickly spread nation-wide.
