It’s Time to Take Action, Join the Global Climate Strike

We're closing our office in support of the September 20th global climate strike. Will you join us?

On Friday, September 20th, millions of youth, students, and adults alike all over the world will be striking and walking out of their schools and workplaces to demand climate action. As a B Corp and 1% for the Planet member, we are dedicated to protecting the planet we live on and ensuring everyone has a right to a livable future. We believe it's important as individuals and as a business to lead by example in the fight against the climate crisis, and must show our support to the youth leading this movement.

We're excited to see a variety of other business leaders step up to support and join the climate strike, such as PatagoniaKeepCupSeventh GenerationAtlassianBen and Jerry's, and Burton to name just a few.

We'll be attending the Seattle Climate Walkout, organized by a coalition of climate groups in the greater Seattle area.

Chloe, our junior designer, has been organizing with Washington Youth Climate Strike and striking consistently with Fridays for Future Seattle for the past 7 weeks outside of Seattle City Hall. In addition to her regular activism, she helped to facilitate and lead workshops at a Climate Justice Summit for Youth in July, and coordinates school outreach with the Sunrise Movement Seattle hub. She also uses her design skills on the creative team for the national US Youth Climate Strike

If you're unsure about leaving work or how to join, Atlassian shared some internal resources on how they're communicating the climate strike in their workplace. If you're an adult and are unable to leave work but want to support the strikers, here's a document on how to be an adult ally.

Join us on September 20th to demand a livable future for all. Find your local event at https://globalclimatestrike.net or http://strikewithus.org if you're in the U.S. We need everyone. Will you join us?
