How to Bring a Green Product to Market

The always-interesting Inc. Magazine published an article last year regarding this hot topic. My favorite part about this article is that, despite it’s title, it’s not telling the reader how just anyone can be green, in fact it’s pointing out that only legitimate and verifiable efforts to be ‘green’ will succeed in helping any company. So so true.

The article provides a great, quick overview on the important points of green marketing, including:

  • Following the FTC Guidelines and why it's important to make specific claims

  • How to use third-party seals properly and to best advantage

  • The importance of the story behind your company (because just being eco isn't good enough)

  • How transparency protects you from green-washing accusations
