Join us at our inaugural Lunch & Learn with Shimon Alkon
We’re excited to announce that we’re launching a brand new workshop/learning series called Lunch & Learn! Join us at once a month at these Lunch & Learn sessions as we bring in speakers to lead us through various topics ranging from Design Thinking, Service Design, Designing for an Experience Economy and more. Our goal is to provide a learning experience that will provide you with the tools to reshape your thinking.
Our inaugural session will take place on Friday, May 25th at the Modern Species office with Shimon Alkon sharing about Design for an Experience Economy. Expect the session to last an hour and a half. Tickets can be purchased at our Eventbrite page (there is an option for including lunch with your ticket if you are so inclined).
Here are some additional details about the event:
From goods, to products, to services, to experiences what creates value in the exchange between the company and consumer has expanded. We will take a look at three of the main types of experiences that a brand can deliver. Each of which is aligned with a different shift in how economic value can be created:
Changing of Circumstances (The Experience Economy)
Transformative (The Transformation Economy)
Transcendent (The Meaning and Significance Economy)
and then how to begin to approach designing for them using one framework, Scenography.
