Hear from Jessica Bellamy to learn about her experiences as a creative operating at the intersection of community organizing, information design, research, and experience design. Jessica will walk us through impact design case studies, her six principles of Conscious and Responsible design, and give us a foundation in data equity, and share with us the tools necessary to be successful in the social change sector.

Speaker:

International speaker, Adobe Creative Residency alumna, and award-winning infographic designer, Jessica Bellamy, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Louisville (UofL) with degrees in Drawing (BFA), Graphic Design (BFA), Pan African Studies (BA), and a minor in Communication. As a former Neurodevelopmental Science research analyst at UofL and community organizer, in 2015, Jessica created a social enterprise that combines grassroots organizing, research, and information graphics. She named this business GRIDS: The Grassroots Information Design Studio. She has been featured in Arianna Huffington’s Thrive GlobalForbesCommunication Arts MagazineThe Great DiscontentCreate MagazineCreative MorningsSlack, The Dieline, Revision Path, and on Adobe’s Project 1324 (viewable through Facebook).
