Marlene’s Market and Deli

After nearly 40 years in business, Marlene’s knew it was time for a bit of a brand face lift – and what better time to do it than a big milestone anniversary! They came to Modern Species to lead them through a brand strategy process that brought insights from their customers, employees, management, and owners to better understand what made them special. That strategy led to a refreshed mission statement, tag line, and an updated brand identity that leaned on their heritage while bringing them into the current times. We developed some new brand assets for them, including seasonal illustrations, and then applied the new identity to a few staple items and then handed the rest of the implementation over to their internal creative team.
